this person keeps inventing things that have already been invented. they decide to remedy this by inventing a machine that warns them when they are embarking on an invention that is non-original. this invention IS original and they post their findings with a view to finding a manufacturer. they fail to patent the machine, which is done by someone else. the machine is developed and becomes a great success. this person becomes embroiled in legal proceedings to have the rights returned to them, the inventor. the proceedings drag on for many years and ultimately, they lose. the very next day, this person takes their life, not as a result of losing the case, but because of the realisation that throughout the many years of the legal case, they had not once thought of another invention...
